Young Women in Public Affairs

Applicants are asked to reflect on their lives, their commitment to the communities in which they live and the role models that have inspired them to become more involved in the community or their prospective career.

This award program looks to the young women of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow. The person selected by our local club will have their application submitted to the District level for consideration of its award of $1000.00.

The Zonta International Foundation then chooses five recipients for an award of an additional $3000.00.  The goal of this award program is to encourage more young women to participate in public and political life by being committed to volunteerism and showing leadership, especially in the advancement of the status of women.

Young women can become involved in their communities by taking on leadership roles, being actively committed to volunteerism and showing evidence and understanding of advancing the status of women locally and worldwide.
