Service Committee

This committee encompasses:

  • Zonta International service programs
  • Young Women in Public Affairs Awards
  • Bursaries
  • Identifying & selecting funding projects meeting the Zonta Club of Woodstock’s mission
  • Local service projects
    • Birthing Kits for Developing Countries
    • Meals On Wheels – delivery


This committee engages actively to improve the status of women locally.   The “Zonta Says  NO” is a global campaign to raise awareness of and increase actions to end violence against women and girls around the world.  This campaign was initiated in our club in November 2013 and continues to build on  the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence.  The committee also highlights Zonta International’s ongoing efforts to end violence against women and girls through the Zonta International Strategies to End Violence against Women (ZISVAW) program and through Zonta’s partnerships with the United Nations and its agencies.


Membership Committee

This committee develops a strategy for retaining current members, recruiting new members and designing activities that will help identify new members.  Yearly evaluation of committee’s progress is communicated to the District OMC Chairperson.


Public Relations and Communications Committee

This committee communicates internal and external information, and responsible for media relations, website maintenance, social media, archives and history.



Finance Committee

This committee prepares and submits a yearly budget to the club’s Executive Board.  Further responsibilities include monitoring the budget, recommending fundraising projects, reporting current financial status at executive and general meetings.  Maintaining financial records to be examined by an independent qualified person.


Fundraising Committees

Committees responsible for identifying, developing and initiating fundraising projects to meet financial club responsibilities.

  • Mint Smoothie Chocolate Sales
  • International Women’s Day Event and Yellow Rose Sale
    • Funds raised support Zonta International Projects.
  • Woodstock Zonta Golf Classic
    • Funds raised support local initiatives to improve the health and status of women in Oxford County.
