Empowering Women for 60 YearsOne hundred years ago, a small group of pioneering women came together in Buffalo, New York with a vision to help all women realize greater equality while using their individual and collective expertise to serve their community.
In 1960, a small group of women came together in Woodstock, ON to begin Zonta International’s 472nd club. In June 2020, our club celebrated its 60th Anniversary and the dedicated efforts of supporting women and girls locally and globally.

Where can I learn more about Zonta?
Besides our website and Facebook page, visit Zonta International to find out more about the global reach and international nature of the organization. Zonta Woodstock belongs to International District 4 containing 35 clubs in south-central Ontario and the American states of New York & Pennsylvania.

Who is eligible for membership?
You must be able to answer yes to all of the following questions to be considered for membership.
- I am a business executive or professional or have experience in a decision-making capacity.
- I am willing to commit time to service and advocacy projects in my community.
- I am willing to contribute financially to and raise money for, local and international projects that benefit women.
- I am willing to attend, on a regular basis, the monthly dinner and business meetings.
- Our club is investigating and open to discussing alternatives to meet this practice.
How often does your Zonta club meet?
The club meets the fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August. The months of December & June are a time of celebration & enjoying fellowship with our members during the evening socials.
What happens at monthly meetings?
Our general meetings begin with short social time, dinner, a program with intriguing guest speakers or club presentations. The business session follows a consent agenda to discuss club business & club projects. Attendance from 6 – 9 PM is preferred with the option of attending only the business portion. Attending online is open for discussion if necessary.
Where do you meet?
We have recently relocated meetings to Chartwell’s Oxford Gardens, Devonshire Ave. Woodstock. Dinner is buffet style, to accommodate dietary requirements, at a cost of $25.
What does it cost to be a member?
As an international organization, we pay yearly dues in May to our club, District 4 & Zonta International. Contact our Membership Chair for a detailed explanation of yearly fees.
How can I become a member of the Zonta Club of Woodstock?
The first step towards being a member is to contact us and discuss your interests. Attend a monthly business meeting to learn if we are mutually a good fit.
